THIS SUNDAY
Join us from 10:30am–2:00pm at Harbourside Markets, Jetty Foreshore, for a vibrant celebration of Indonesian culture and community. While Indonesia's official Independence Day falls on 17 August, we're celebrating on Sunday so friends from across the region can join the festivities.
Enjoy a colourful parade in traditional dress, the Indonesian national anthem, captivating cultural performances from Bali and Thailand, and a wonderful atmosphere of multicultural friendship. We'll also be sharing the stage with the talented Coffs Harbour Brass Band, making it a joyful celebration for everyone. Everyone is welcome!

The Thai New Year celebration, known as Songkran, is back and ready to fill the Harbourside Market with vibrant traditions, exciting performances, and joyful festivities.
The Thai Songkran Festival is a fantastic opportunity for the Coffs Harbour community and visitors to experience Thailand’s rich culture and traditions. This event is free to attend, with donations welcomed to support the festivities.
Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year celebration, typically held in April each year. It is one of Thailand’s most important and widely celebrated festivals, marking the start of the solar new year according to the Thai lunar calendar. The word “Songkran” comes from the Sanskrit word “Sankranti”, which means “astrological passage” or “the movement of the sun.”

Where: At end of Jetty near lighthouse lamp for registration sign on and briefing
Areas allocation: Areas for clean up will be allocated to teams of 2, 3, or 4 depending on size of area.
After clean up: from 10.30 onwards - participants are invited to meet for a sausage sizzle at BBQ and shelters on the southern side of Jetty walkway.
Requirements:
🌊All participants must register on the day for insurance coverage
💦Children under 16 must be accompanied by responsible adult
🌊Wear enclosed shoes, hat and FFA t-shirt if you have one
💦Bring water, apply sunscreen.
Extras: Clean up kits will be on hand but extra bags, gloves and tongs or grab sticks would be good to bring.
REGISTRATION on the day or email events@foreshoreforall.com with subject of 'Clean Up Jetty Foreshore'.

𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗶𝗻! You will be joining Santa Elves and the Coffs Bagpipe and Drums Band as we parade the market grounds. Prizes will be awarded to all children who join in as well as best-dressed!
